I am again in trouble.Lets see if you can help me out.

I have got my first domain and hence got my username and password for accessing my cpanel
and hence got my first blog up and running. Recently i got a second domain and the hosting company forwarded the domain name and the control panel for the same. I have a reseller account. I dont know what that means.
For the same domain name i cant access the cpanel and the hosting company says that i have got to do the set up my self and now i am in trouble since me a newbie and dont know the techie stuff. I got in touch with Hostgator for help and they told me that DNS servers have to be set up/adjusted and they dont help non customers. Now what do i do .How do i go about having access to my cpanel for the new domain name
Of course i have tried the basic stuff http://mydomain.com/cpanel
How do i go about accessing my cpanel for the domain name . If you can please guide me step by step
